Cheap Hotels Benidorm

If you are a beach fanatic, the Costa Blanca is the place to be and Cheap Hotels Benidorm is the place to book. There are two beaches and the choice of which one will be the best for you is easier. They each cater to a very different crowd. The Playa Levante is where the bars and restaurants are. The Playa Poniente caters more to Spanish families who already know how lovely Benidorm is and who just want to relax on the beach.

Both beaches are pristinely clean. The water is crystal clear and the sand is golden. The cleanliness of the  golden sand is not accidental. The Benidorm council has a crew who show up every night after 10 p.m. and rake the entire beach. They also pick up all the garbage, even little things like cigarette butts. Once the sand has been cleaned, big sand ploughs work every square inch of the beach so it is perfect in the morning. Aside from the cleanliness this creates, it also shows how dedicated Benidorm is to making the tourist experience perfect. Both beaches sport the EU Blue Flag Award which goes to beaches that have very high standards that are consistently maintained.

Assuming that, as a tourist, you will be heading down the Playa Levante’s two kilometers of beach, you will see bars and cafés that become more elegant the further along the beach you go. There are also plenty of Cheap Hotels in Benidorm aswell as apartments and other cheap accommodation in Benidorm. As a side note, at the end of the Playa Poniente – the other beach – in the La Cala area by the rocks the beach is a nudist area. While you might expect this in the touristy part of the area, the privacy factor is more prevalent on the quieter Playa Poniente side.

Back to the walk along the Playa Levante – there is a lovely promenade that is perfect for people in wheelchairs. It is a long promenade that is not over run with traffic. The further you go, you will pass the bars and come to the hotels, cafés and gift shops. There are also apartments here. Something that might surprise you is the Biblioplaya. This is a library right on the sand. People can settle in the shade there and read or play chess. There are even children’s play areas.

One of the different things when it comes to bars is La Amsteleria which has a beer pump at the table. You pump your own (metered) beer and you are billed according to the meter. Other bars have other different features but this one was worth mentioning as an example.
